Chief Executive Officer
Richard Twomey
Welshman Richard Twomey joined the company in February of 2014, taking over the role of CEO on 1 April. He was previously International Vice President of the California-based orthodontics company Align Technology and has also held a number of senior positions within divisions of Johnson & Johnson and as President of DePuy, International Ltd.
Executive Vice President, Human Resources & Corporate Communications
Martin Lexa
Martin joined Mölnlycke in 2016. He has many years of experience in the pharmaceutical and medical devices industry in both mature and emerging markets. Before joining the company, he spent several years within Novartis, first as Head of HR OTC for Europe at Novartis Consumer Health, and then as Head of HR for Europe, Middle East and Africa at Alcon. He also worked at Medtronic for five years, including as VP for Human Resources, Europe, Middle East & Africa and Canada – and at Bristol-Myers Squibb in different national and international HR leadership roles.
EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT, COMMERCIAL International
Raphaël Pascaud
Raphaël is a French national. He joined Mölnlycke Executive team in 2019. He spent 14 years in various management positions within DePuy, one of the Johnson & Johnson family of companies. Most recently he served on the Executive leadership team at Align Technology, where he held several senior strategic and marketing roles – including as Vice President International.
Raphael has extensive experience in multinational organisational management, international sales strategy, and global professional and consumer marketing within the medical device sector. He also holds a PhD in Bioengineering.
Executive Vice President, Operations & RQA
Eric De Kesel
Eric has been with the company since 2002 and has held roles as GM of our factory in Waremme, Belgium, as well as heading up various business units within our commercial organisation. Before taking on his current role, he was President of the Surgical Division.
EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT, GLOVES, ANTISEPTICS AND GLOBAL R&D
Barry McBride
Irishman Barry joined Mölnlycke in 2014 and leads our Gloves and Antiseptics business, as well as the global R&D and medical functions. He has a broad global experience in medical devices and has held senior positions in general management, marketing, R&D and operations based in USA, Asia and Europe. Prior to joining Mölnlycke, Barry was CTO and President EMEA for Teleflex, he also founded a number of medical device startups which were successfully commercialised.
Executive vice president, Legal
Kristin Hedlund
Kristin Hedlund is a Swedish national and joined the Executive team in 2018. Before taking on her current role at Mölnlycke she held a number of positions within DB Schenker. Most recently she served as General Counsel and member of the Board at Schenker AB.
Kristin has more than twenty years of experience in Legal affairs. At Mölnlycke she is responsible for the Legal function and coordinates compliance-related activities in support of the execution of our strategy.
Executive Vice President, Finance, IT and Business Development
Susanne Larsson
Susanne, a Swedish national, joined the executive team in March 2020. Most recently she held the role of Group CFO at Gunnebo – a multinational security company, listed on NASDAQ Stockholm. Before that she spent more than 20 years at the Gothenburg-based SKF group in various financial and strategic leadership positions.
She also has extensive experience from driving growth and efficiency in global companies, including finance leadership, business control, governance and process development. At Mölnlycke she is responsible for Finance, IT and Business Development functions.
Executive Vice President, OR Solutions
Anders Andersson
Anders is responsible for our focused OR (Operating Room) Solutions organization within the Mölnlycke Procedure Trays, staff clothing and drapes product ranges. Anders has been with the company since 2000. During the years with Mölnlycke he has held various senior roles in Operations, Commercial and R&D. Before taking on his current role, he was Vice President of Global Manufacturing.
As of October 2017 Anders has been appointed EVP OR Solutions and is a member of the Executive Leadership team.
Executive Vice President, Wound Care & Marketing
Cathy Dalene
Cathy is a Norwegian national. She joined the company in 2016, and the Executive management team in June 2018. Before taking on her current role, she held roles as VP Global Marketing and Global Franchise Lead, Prevention.
Cathy has many years of experience from the medical device industry, holding several leadership roles across various Johnson & Johnson operating companies.
Executive Vice President and President, US
Rob Claypoole
Rob is a US national and joined Molnlycke in March 2017 as President, US. He was previously at Medtronic where he held various leadership roles including Global GM, Soft Tissue Repair and Global GM, Obesity & Metabolic Health. Before Medtronic, Rob held various marketing roles with increasing responsibility at Johnson & Johnson’s Vision Care division.
Our Board
Our Board has nine directors – Gunnar Brock, Johan Malmqvist, Clare Hollingworth, Richard Twomey, John Hepburn, Sharon James, Karl-Henrik Sundström, Christer Eriksson and David Perez. Seven are independent members. Chairman of the Board Gunnar Brock (one of the seven independent Board members) is also from Investor.
