For 12 years, Tod Brindle was the nurse clinician and clinical admistrator for the Wound Care team at VCU Health’s Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center (VCUMC). Prior to his position at VCU Health, he served in various roles at multiple prestigious institutions across the country.
He has earned numerous awards throughout his career, including the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Magnet National Nurse of the Year in 2013. Tod has served in several leadership positions on committees, editorial boards and professional boards such as the Board of Directors for the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care (AAWC), the ANCC Magnet Commission. He is presently a co-chair of the Wound Track for the National Conference Planning committee of the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurses Society. We sat down recently with Tod to get his thoughts about the future of healthcare, and he had this to say.
